We found our new kitchen stools!Last month I wrote about my new kitchen and how the last remaining piece in our transformation was finding new counter stools. After going to many stores and not finding what I wanted, I just happened upon two stools at a yard sale. They weren't really what I was looking for, but they were in good condition, sturdy and only $20 for the pair.On the way home we stopped and bought new fabric and spray paint. My husband was quick to remove the seats and give the stools a light sanding when we got home.
By that afternoon the painting was done and in no time the seats were covered and reattached.
They aren't what I was looking for, but after expenses they cost us less than $50 for the pair and they will certainly do until something better comes along!
We used Krylon Chalky Finish spray paint. It went on easier than any other spray paint we have used in the past. There was not one run or drip on either chair. We highly recommend it.I really love the chalky, matte finish. The chairs don't look spray painted at all.
