Three Things To Consider When Interviewing Real Estate Agents

When choosing a real estate agent to sell your house it's a good idea to get recommendations from others who have first hand experience...people who have worked with an agent and would work with them again. Ask your family, friends and coworkers for suggestions. If you have already met with a home stager, ask the stager for recommendations.Home stagers can be a great resource if you need help finding a real estate agent. Stagers have a lot of experience working with agents and they know which ones do the best job marketing their listings.Home stagers know better than anyone the agents that take preparation and presentation seriously and we know which agents don't.I have been asked many times for the name of a good agent, and I'm happy to provide that information. However, I will usually give several names, not just one.Meeting with several, at least three, agents is my suggestion.  Three things to consider when interviewing real estate agents: 1. PersonalityIt's important to find the one that is the best fit for you. Personality can be a major factor. You will be working closely with this person and you really do have to like and trust them. 2. PricePrice is usually the thing sellers are most interested in and that's the burning question they have.... " how much can I get for my house? "Don't choose an agent based on the price they suggest for your house.Choose an agent based on their justification of the price they suggest for your house. Listen very carefully to how they arrived at the price. You want an agent that knows your market and has done the necessary homework to establish that price. 3. MarketingAs a home stager, this is the most important aspect to consider. How will they market your product for sale? It's not just about where or how often it will be marketed, it's also about the quality of the marketing...how your house will be prepared and presented to the public.This is where you do your homework. Check out the agents' listings and see what their mls photos look like.  Great mls photos are both emotionally and visually appealing to buyers. An agent's mls photos will tell you how serious they are about marketing.    Consider their personality, their advice on price... based on their knowledge of the market, andtheir marketing skills... based on the quality of their mls listing photos.______________________________________________________________________________      Creative & Unique Solutions...
